Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Metis Reply (the "Service"), operated by Buried Fables LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Metis Reply helps businesses draft responses to customer reviews using AI, for the business owner or their staff to review, edit, and approve before anything is published. We do not publish responses to any third-party platform (Google, Yelp, Facebook, or otherwise) without your explicit approval.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for all activity under it, including keeping your password confidential. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business the account represents.
On plans that include team seats, the account owner may invite team members. The account owner is responsible for the actions of the team members they invite, including responses those team members approve. Team members can only access the account while its plan includes team seats and until the owner removes them.
3. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free Trial
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance, as selected at checkout. New accounts on the Basic and Premium plans include a 7-day free trial, limited to 25 AI drafts; a valid payment method is required to start one, and billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel first. You can also end the trial early and start billing at any time. The Enterprise plan is billed from the start and has no free trial. A free trial is available once per customer. Plan pricing and response caps are shown at the Pricing section of our homepage and in your billing settings.
If you reach your plan's monthly response cap, new AI generation pauses until your monthly allowance resets or until you upgrade — we do not charge surprise overage fees.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. On monthly plans, your account stays active through the end of the current paid month; we do not refund that month, but you're never cut off mid-cycle. On annual plans, your account stays active through the end of the annual term you have paid for, and we do not refund the remaining months of that term. In both cases, cancelling stops the next renewal, and you are not charged again.
When your paid period ends, access to your dashboard pauses. Your reviews and responses stay stored on your account, and you can reactivate at any time. You can also delete your account permanently from Settings.
5. AI-Generated Content
Responses are drafted by an AI model and are only ever published under your business name after you approve or edit them. You are solely responsible for reviewing each draft before approval and for the content of anything you approve, edit, or publish through the Service. We do not guarantee that AI-generated drafts are accurate, appropriate, or free of errors — that review step exists precisely so you catch anything wrong before it goes out publicly.
Responsibility shifts to you on approval. The moment you approve a response, you — not us — are responsible for its accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with the rules of the platform where you publish it. We provide drafts; you decide what represents your business.
AI disclosure. Some jurisdictions and platforms require that AI-generated or AI-assisted content be disclosed. The Service does not add any disclosure to the text of a response, and you are responsible for determining whether any disclosure requirement applies to how you publish it and for adding one if needed.
6. Acceptable Use
You are responsible for how you, your teammates, and anyone using your account use the Service. You agree not to use the Service, or help anyone else use it, to do any of the following.
Reviews and responses.
- Create, import, or respond to fake reviews, including reviews written by you, your staff, or people you paid or rewarded, or reviews of a competitor, or otherwise break the law on consumer reviews (such as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rule on fake reviews and testimonials).
- Disclose a reviewer's private information in a response, including health, medical, financial, legal, or contact details, or confirm that someone is your patient or client where the law protects that relationship (for example, health-privacy laws such as HIPAA). You are responsible for keeping regulated information out of the Service and out of your responses.
- Threaten, harass, intimidate, or retaliate against a reviewer, or offer anything in exchange for changing or removing a review where the law or the review platform prohibits it.
- Publish anything that is false, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise unlawful, or that violates a review platform's own rules (Google, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor, and others).
- Attempt to get around the approval step or publish AI-generated content without reviewing it.
Content you submit.
- Submit content you don't have the right to use, or impersonate another business or person.
- Upload or forward malware, harmful code, spam, or files that aren't what they claim to be.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
The AI.
- Use the AI features for anything other than responding to reviews of your own business and getting help with the Service, including trying to make it produce unrelated, harmful, or prohibited content.
- Try to manipulate the AI to ignore its instructions, reveal how it works, or act against these Terms (for example, "jailbreaking" or prompt injection).
- Use the Service's output to build or train a competing product or AI model.
Accounts, access, and billing.
- Give false information when signing up, share a login with people who aren't your teammates, or resell, rent, or sublicense the Service.
- Open several accounts, or use repeated free trials, to avoid plan limits or charges.
- Access the Service with bots, scripts, or scrapers (other than the features we provide), or place an unreasonable load on it.
- Use a payment method you aren't authorized to use, or dispute a legitimate charge for Service you received.
Security.
- Probe, scan, test, or attempt to bypass the Service's security or the separation between customer accounts; access data that isn't yours; or copy, decompile, or reverse engineer the Service.
- If you find a security problem, please report it to us privately (see Contact) and don't use or share it. We won't take action against good-faith reports.
7. Fair Use and Limits
Each plan includes the limits shown on our pricing page (for example, AI drafts per month and teammate seats). To keep the Service fast, fair, and affordable for everyone, we also apply reasonable protective limits, such as how many rewrites, alternative drafts, uploads, or messages can be made in a short time, and lower limits during a free trial. If usage is unusually high or looks automated, we may slow it down or pause it and will tell you why.
8. Enforcement
To protect customers, reviewers, and the Service, we may investigate suspected violations of these Terms, including by reviewing account activity and content. If we believe an account has violated these Terms, we may, at our discretion and where appropriate after notice:
- remove or disable content, or limit or turn off features;
- suspend or close the account, immediately where needed to prevent harm, fraud, legal liability, or a security risk;
- end the subscription without a refund for the remaining period, and charge for costs the violation caused us (for example, AI usage from abuse, or chargeback fees);
- report the activity to a review platform, payment provider, or law enforcement where appropriate.
We're not required to monitor how you use the Service, and not acting on a violation doesn't waive our right to act later. If you believe we made a mistake, contact us and we'll review it.
9. Third-Party Platforms
The Service may help you draft responses intended for third-party review platforms we don't operate or control. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and we aren't responsible for their availability, policies, or actions (including removing or rejecting a response you've published).
10. Your Content
You retain ownership of the review content, business information, and any instructions you provide to the Service, and of the responses you ultimately approve. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service for you (for example, sending it to our AI provider to generate a draft). You confirm you have the right to submit that content, and you are solely responsible for every response you approve and publish.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated drafts will meet your expectations without editing.
Answers from the in-app support assistant are generated by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. They are general guidance, not a commitment by us; the assistant cannot change your account, plan, or billing. For anything important, rely on our Help Center or contact support.
12. Service Availability
We work to keep the Service available, but it is provided without any guaranteed uptime or service-level commitment. We may perform maintenance, and the Service may be interrupted by problems with us or with providers we depend on (hosting, payments, email, and AI providers). We aren't liable for delays or interruptions, including any delay in generating or delivering a response.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buried Fables LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages related to content you approved and published. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Buried Fables LLC and its owners, employees, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, fines, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from content you submit or publish, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or the law, your teammates' actions on your account, or your violation of anyone else's rights, including a reviewer's or a review platform's.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account as described in Section 8, or when a payment failure isn't resolved after reasonable notice. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. After an account is closed for a violation, we may delete its content; otherwise, you can export your reviews and responses before deleting your account. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Acceptable Use, Enforcement, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) continue to apply after your account ends.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Buried Fables LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
